meLê yamomo is Assistant Professor of Theatre Studies at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He was a research fellow at the International Research Center 'Interweaving Performance Cultures' in Berlin and at the Global Theatre Histories Research Center in Munich. He completed his PhD in Theatre Studies and Musicology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, Germany.
