Born and raised in Richmond, VA, I have experienced my share of headache, tragedy, and triumph. At times, I felt as though I was trapped and life was a cage. The only way that I could escape from it all was through reading and journaling. Many authors have inspired me and many, many, many books have kept me alive during the times where I felt like life just was not enough. I moved to Arlington, TX at the age of twenty-three, and the family that God has blessed me with gave me the encouragement to take my writing further. Not to mention my daughter who, everyday, continues to be my inspiration as she pushes me to be better and do better. Far from shy, the very outgoing person that I am, the stories I share are that of those I have experienced. Much of which I've witness during my troubled childhood. But finally the phoenix has escaped from within me and now I'm blessed that my words will be able to reach those that can relate. Whether heartache, pain, love, or forgiveness, I pray my stories touch someone in a way that makes them go "wow, I never could imagine going through that!", because for me, at one point in my life, it was indeed my reality.
