ABOUT THE AUTHOR Jackie Dove-Miller is a retired English teacher who lives in the Raleigh area of NC. Since retiring, she spends her time as a workshop facilitator, public speaker, spoken-word artist, playwright, poet and budding photographer. She has two published book of inspirational poetry, Some Things I Just Know: Poems About Life Lessons Learned the Hard Way, and Change and Possibility: Poems that Inspire and one book of poems on the ups and downs of love titled Love Moves Like a Wave. She has also produced two poetry CDs: A Spoken-Word for a Woman Who Can and Speaking to the Woman Within. She co-wrote and produced the inspirational play, Beauty for Ashes. Jackie was named one of two of Franklin County's "Artist of the Year" for 2013. Thinking Out Loud is her first anthology that is not strictly poetry.
