This EFFIN Hostility/Hospitality Industry: Tales of the Food and Beverage Biz (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781070830636)

This book is a collection of wild tales and bizarre behind the scenes happenings from four east coast, career servers in the food and beverage industry. Their careers have been supported by their ability to be warm, hospitable, courteous and welcoming at all times. But truth is this world is much more like a battle field. For the most part, it is the stigma that many consider this particular population to be nothing more than faceless servants, who must be soft-witted to do what they do. Servers are expected to be readily available, yet remain inconspicuous. This is a truly humbling existence, and truth be told it takes fortitude, and strength to last as long as these four have in this industry. With over a hundred and twenty years experience between the four authors they have amassed a vast amount of stories, that typically are kept within the industry's walls. Within these pages are many of the gritty, true-life tales that they have recanted many times over to one another and shared a good laugh. In short this book is written in restaurant jargon, and is an insider's glimpse into the wild, fast-paced food and beverage industry.
