This Must Stop: Reflections on Conflict and Humanity (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781918191912)

This Must Stop is the honest, unflinching account of surgeon Tomo Potokar's time in Gaza between 2018 and 2026. Part memoir, part poetry, part political reckoning, it bears witness to the destruction and suffering inside and outside Gaza's hospitals.

Weaving together his experiences in Gaza with decades of work in humanitarian crisis zones around the world, Potokar interrogates how corrupt individuals and systems fuel war, inequality and human suffering. He asks readers to confront a painful truth: the suffering of so many is caused by so few.

A lyrical exploration of conflict and humanity, This Must Stop urges us to pause and think deeply about our actions. At once clear-sighted and hopeful, Potokar offers that, despite the violence, trauma and tragedy that tear us apart, it's our humanity that binds us together.
