This book is a factual account of Thomas McClung's heroism during the 'First Battle' of the Revolutionary War. His death certificate states that he died on October10, 1774 and gives his burial place as the Point Pleasant Battlefield in Mason County, WV. Many of the soldiers who fought with Thomas McClung during the Battle of Point Pleasant wrote accounts of his death on the battlefield, where the colonial militia of America fought and defeated the Native American forces led by the Shawnee Chief Cornstalk.
