Shirley Russak Wachtel is the author of two books, MY MOTHER'S SHOES, a memoir, and THE MUSIC MAKERS. Her other books include IN THE MELLOW LIGHT, a collection of poetry, and several books for children. She holds a Doctor of Letters Degree from Drew University and is a college professor in New Jersey, where she lives with her husband, Arthur. She is also the mother of three grown sons, and grandmother of two adorable girls.
