I write children's books inspired by Compassionate Communication (also known as Nonviolent Communication, NVC), based on the work of Marshall Rosenberg, PhD. These books help children and parents connect with a common language of feelings and needs. The concept behind each book is to help parents and kids understand the needs behind the behaviors and feelings that are common in early childhood. Empathy and understanding foster a child's healthy development and responsibility for their own well-being while respecting other's values. I use simple vocabulary and common situations to allow children the opportunity to relate to events from their day, giving parents insight into what might be on the hearts and minds of their children.
