Tiny and Bubba Go To Town (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798373060677)

The Perfect Funny Gift for Anyone Who Grew Up Going to Town on Saturday Mornings

There's a phrase you hear in the South that you don't hear up North: "I reckon I'll go to town tomorrow." Up North, they already live in town. Down here, going to town is an occasion.

In Tiny and Bubba Go to Town, Art Fuller takes Gainesville, Georgia's favorite chicken farmers out into the wider world - and the result is exactly what you'd expect when good ol' boys meet everyday small-town American life.

This is the third book in the beloved Tiny and Bubba series, and it just might be the funniest yet.

Del-mar is drumming up clients for his new law firm by mailing out anonymous Valentine's cards. Troy Allen has landed his first office job and can't quite figure out the paper shredder. AnnaMae is doing her determined best at the DriveRite truck stop. And Uncle Fred continues to be a cautionary tale for anyone who leaves a second-story window open on a Saturday night.

Across eleven chapters - each with a title that is itself a joke - Art Fuller covers the full range of southern everyday life:

• Small-town business and country ingenuity - from egg collection to divorce law, nobody hustles quite like Tiny and Bubba's people

• Country preachers and the churchgoers who keep them busy - including a preacher who has a very specific answer when asked what the government can do for the church

• Love, marriage, and all the complications in between - Bubba's pursuit of Marg has never been smooth sailing

• Lawyers, doctors, judges and other professionals doing their level best - bless their hearts

• Seniors with stories, wisdom, and no patience for nonsense - Bubba Sr., Cledy, and company remind us that the funniest people in any room are usually the oldest ones in it.

Clean, family-friendly humor in a short-story format - perfect for reading a tale or two at a time, sharing out loud at the dinner table, borrowing a story for your next speech or sermon, or just enjoying on the porch with a glass of sweet tea.
