The style of the book breaks conventions, and compresses literary voices and scenes to weave together elements of narrative, poetry, purple prose, and erotica. Although it was his sixth completed book at age 31 in 1998, the novella was M.R.M. Parrott's first publishing project initializing his imprint, rimric press.
