JULIA BOWLIN, M.D. was born and raised in Darke County, Ohio, and has lived in the area most of her life. Her undergraduate degree in Socio-Anthropology was received at Earlham College in Indiana in 1988. She attended Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio and received her M.D. in June, 1993. Dr. Bowlin did her Family Medicine residency at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Dayton, Ohio and went on to become the owner and Medical Director of Versailles Medical Center in Versailles, Ohio. She is married to Rick Bowlin, M.D., a local practicing Internal Medicine physician. Together they have two children and presently reside in Greenville, Ohio. Dr. Julia Bowlin's struggle with depression, eating disorders, and self-harming behaviors as an adolescent and young adult has afforded her personal insight into what it is like to have a poor view of one's inner self and feel divorced from who she could be.
