These policies are based on conservative and neoconservative thought and entail growing public and private debts, erosion of democratic structures, cancellation of generational contracts (education, health insurance, pensions), and environmental degradation. All these issues, and some others, are addressed in the book.

He has published more than a hundred articles on applied mathematics topics in professional journals, as well as a research monograph on "The mathematical theory of dilute gases", and a textbook on "Mathematical modelling: A case studies approach".
