Transatlantic, The Ballad of Thomas Fox (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798231697212)

He came for the American dream. What he got was a one-way ticket to hell.

Thomas Fox left Mayo with hope in his heart and just enough cash to bring his family to New York. But working nights in a Bronx nightclub owned by Irish mobster Eddie McGoldrick isn't exactly the dream. When Fox refuses a job from McGoldrick's violent nephew - a hit on rival gangsters in Boston - he thinks he's dodged the worst.

He's wrong.

Under mounting pressure from debt, a dead-end job, and a girlfriend who wants more than promises, Fox makes a choice that triggers a brutal chain of events. One job. One mistake. No way out.

Transatlantic: The Ballad of Thomas Fox is a gritty Irish-American crime thriller set in the mean streets of 1980s New York - packed with mob violence, dark humour, and hard choices.

Fans of Dennis Lehane, Adrian McKinty, and The Departed will feel right at home.
