xDr. Donald Emerson Crim received his PhD from Cornell University in 1973. He was instrumental in the founding of the Anthropology department at Colorado State University. He was initiated into Transcendental Meditation in 1975, and went on to receive his Sidhis technique. After retiring from CSU in 1997, he moved with his wife to Fairfield, IA where he helped to create an instrumental music program for the Maharishi School for the Age of Enlightenment. He co-conducted the MSAE band with his daughter, Dorothy. He spent his remaining years teaching brass technique to students of MSAE.
