Transnational Education (TNE): Pains, Gains and Dangers (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798181133860)

You want to know about Transnational Education? The glossy brochures will tell you about "global partnerships," "international standards," and "students without borders." The vice-chancellor will tell you about revenue diversification and brand expansion. The partner will smile and agree to everything over champagne.

They are all lying. Not maliciously, mostly. They are lying because they do not know what they do not know.

This book tells you what they do not know. The handshake that feels like solid ground? It is quicksand. The "equivalent standards" written in the MOU? They drift apart within two years. The students who enrol with dreams of an international degree? Too many of them graduate feeling like second-class citizens of two universities that neither fully claims them.

You want to know about TNE? Here is the truth: most partnerships are held together by duct tape and hope. Local faculty are overworked, underpaid, and treated as disposable. Accreditation is a nightmare of contradictory requirements. And your brand is being drained slowly, one disappointed student at a time.

Still reading? Good. Because here is the other truth: TNE can be wonderful. Students can thrive. Staff can be valued. Partnerships can last for decades. But not with wishful thinking. Not with the next glossy brochure. Only with clear eyes, hard questions, and the courage to say no.

This book is not a celebration. It is a toolkit. Use it, or learn the hard way like everyone else. The students are watching. Make it worth their time.
