Dr. Ouimette's research interests are in the intersection of trauma, posttraumatic stress, and substance use. The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism and the Department of Veterans Affairs Clinical Sciences Research and Development Service have funded her research.

Dr. Ouimette received her bachelor's degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) Binghamton and her doctorate from SUNY Stony Brook. She completed her clinical internship at the Boston VA Medical Center-Tufts University School of Medicine Consortium, where she stayed on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder -- Women's Health Sciences Division of the Boston VA Medical Center.

Dr. Ouimette worked at the Center for Healthcare Evaluation at the Palo Alto VA Medical Center in California and at Washington State University before moving to Syracuse, New York.

Jennifer P. Read, PhD, is an associate professor of psychology at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York. She is also an affiliated research scientist at the University at Buffalo's Research Institute on Addictions.

Dr. Read received her bachelor's degree from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, and her doctorate from the University of Rhode Island in Kingstown. She completed her clinical internship at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where she stayed on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship in addiction studies at Brown University's Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies.

Dr. Read's research interests include alcohol misuse by young adults and the intersection of trauma, posttraumatic stress, and substance use. Her research has been funded by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism and by the National Institute on Drug Abuse.
