Life can get so busy and stressful at times. There are those days we just don't have enough time to finish what we need to do. Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountain apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the Earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. After the fire came a gentle whisper. What an amazing experience Elijah had while on the mountain, in God's presence. I'm sure we've all witnessed & experienced some things in the outdoors that we treasure. I know I have. Those of us that enjoy all the glory and mystery of the outdoors, are so blessed to witness and experience all the wonders of our Creator each time we venture into His creation. One of the most blessed places to listen for that "still small voice" of God is while we are enjoying the outdoors like Elijah was.
