Bob Walsh is a devout Catholic, well-founded and educated in the Catholic faith and in good standing with the Church. One of 12 children, he grew up in a four room apartment in the Yorkville section of New York City's east side. He married his teenage sweetheart, Margie Holly, and together they raised their three children while he worked as a bank executive on Wall Street. When his parents died at an early age, Bob and Margie also raised Bob's younger sisters. Following his career on Wall Street, Bob served as a U.S. goodwill ambassador to Russia and Ukraine. On his trip there, he ministered to the poor, and to those in cancer hospitals and orphanages. He was a prolife candidate for Governor of New York in 1994 and for U.S. Congress in 2000. In his parish of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Deer Park, Long Island, New York, Bob serves as a Eucharistic Minister, member of the Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Society. He presents himself as living proof that miracles can and do happen, when people turn to God in faith. In 2009, Bob was diagnosed with three different types of malignant cancer, and Hemochromatosis (often referred to as "iron-overload") requiring that a pint of blood be withdrawn every few weeks. He survived extensive surgeries to remove two of the malignancies then God miraculously removed the third cancer ... without surgery, chemo or radiation treatments! Bob continues to write and publish Catholic materials, conducts presentations on religious subjects, and leads healing prayer services for those suffering with afflictions of the mind, body and spirit.
