J. F. Cicci is originally from Palatine, Illinois, and before becoming a writer, she served in the US Armed Forces and separated as a commissioned military intelligence officer. She is the daughter of very successful parents who dedicated over twenty years to teaching early childhood development through their privately owned Montessori school. With her mother's guidance, Cicci wrote Truffle's Sad Song in an effort to inspire children to help those who struggle with great sadness. She possesses a bachelor of science degree in professional aeronautics through Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and has lived all over the United States, including Washington, Virginia, North Dakota, and Arizona. She has two rambunctious Siberian Huskies and enjoys reading, dwelling in libraries and used bookstores, hot cocoa, and music. Truffle's Sad Song is her first published book.
