Tudors on Stage: A Collection of Plays for Children based on the Tudors (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781066711406)

The Tudor period was full of power, danger, ambition and change. Tudors on Stage is a collection of short plays for children based on key figures and events from Tudor history. The book includes plays on Henry VII, Henry VIII and his six wives, Edward VI, Lady Jane Grey, Mary I, Elizabeth I and Mary, Queen of Scots. Written for classrooms, drama groups, history lessons, assemblies and school performances, each script is clear, accessible and easy to stage. Strong narration, flexible casting and plenty of speaking parts make the plays suitable for a wide range of groups and abilities.

This book helps children engage with history through drama. Rather than simply learning dates and facts, children explore the people, choices, emotions and consequences behind the Tudor story.

A practical resource for teachers, drama facilitators, home educators and young performers.
