Tunkumba Creek (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781764587334)

Justice without mercy is no justice at all. A customs search in Havana harbour goes wrong and sets in play a drug smuggling investigation that spans the globe to the town of Nerimbah on the Queensland coast. Alex Holmes, on holiday in the town is drawn into the world of crime and redemption as he seeks to uncover the truth behind a mysterious body uncovered in the sand dunes. He teams up with Clara Ramirez, a Cuban Investigator, as their paths cross in their respective quests for justice that takes them from the Nerimbah coast into the lush hinterland and culminates on the mudflats of Tunkumba Creek.

Once again, Alex Holmes has returned to the community that he grew up in and holds dear. But questions of crime and punishment are not so easily answered, as Alex's personal life and Clara's Cuban background clash in this contemporary tale of the loss of innocence and the desire for justice to be served.

This is the second book that introduces us to Alex Holmes and his beloved coastal town of Nerimbah, where the interaction of characters and the environment surrounding him gives a rich depth to the narrative.
