One story per year of age, treating increasingly complex relationships and situations as Jesus grows and develops. Jesus is presented as a reverent, polite and intelligent child who is fully human and does not work miracles among his playmates. He struggles to understand who he is born to become and how he is to accomplish what scripture says about him. Though there has been little written about his childhood, we know a lot about his childhood by studying the man. This is Jesus developing as a human being before he entered into the power and miracles of his ministry years. He is a lot like boys you have known, but displays no evidence of a sin nature.

Terry Todd is a product of the evangelical Christian community along the front range of Colorado. He was born and raised in Littleton by parents in the Brethren movement. He graduated from Rockmont College, one of the schools that merged to form Colorado Christian University. He spent twenty-two years serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators as a linguist focused on Kurdish dialects. He has a Masters Degree in Linguistics from University of Texas at Arlington and a PhD in Near Eastern Languages and Literatures from the University of Michigan. He loves wood carving, woodworking, hiking and riding a tandem bicycle with his wife Nancy. He and Nancy shepherd cross-cultural Christian workers in various parts of the world through Barnabas International.
