Khotso Dineo Mashile is a young South African lady born on the 12th of February 1996. Dineo is the third of five children, she has two older sisters, Yankee and Phindile, and two younger brothers, Kabelo and Katlego. She is the daughter of Suzan and Timothy Mashile. Both born and bred within the Bushbuckridge region at Mpumalanga province. Dineo's father works for the South African National Defense Force, which meant growing up all over the country for Dineo and her siblings. Her father's work empowered Dineo by allowing her to learn different languages and cultures and also fundamentally changing her perception of the world. Dineo's writing is inspired by her life and the lives of others, but she is mostly inspired by the life of Christ. She was raised in a Christian home and has a strong spirituality, which can be seen throughout her writing. Dineo enjoys writing and reciting poems. She considers herself to be an artist rather than an author, because her poetry is shared in the forms of writing, speaking and singing. Another skill Dineo possesses is that of laughing - when you meet her you will realize it is really a skill! Dineo is a people-loving, compassionate person who also happens to be a Social Worker by profession - a fruit of the University of the Free State.
