Twenty-One Years In S. Georges Mission is a historical account written by Charles Fuge Lowder in 1877. The book details the creation and evolution of S. Georges Mission, a charitable organization established in the mid-19th century to serve the impoverished and marginalized communities of Londons East End. Lowder, a prominent Anglican clergyman, founded the mission in 1859 and served as its leader for over two decades. Through a combination of religious outreach, education, and practical aid, S. Georges Mission sought to improve the lives of those living in poverty and squalor. The book provides a detailed chronicle of the missions activities, including its various educational and social programs, as well as its efforts to provide medical care and relief to the sick and destitute. Lowder also discusses the challenges and obstacles faced by the mission, including opposition from local authorities and the difficulties of working in such a deprived and dangerous environment.
