Uncomfortable but design: The events that changed the history of Design (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798398083804)

Design requires rigorous commitment to find the best solution to a problem, but sometimes luck, misfortune, a stroke of genius, or sudden inspiration can lead a designer and their object to worldwide success, changing the history of this discipline.
Did you know that to promote his Moka Renato Bialetti, he convinced the Greek billionaire Aristotle Onassis to deceive a reluctant Frenchman? Why did Joe Colombo decide to cut Gino Colombini's umbrella stand to transform it into a lamp? How did Studio 65 manage to avoid being sued by Salvador Dalì for copying his sofa? Is it true that Jonathan Ive of Apple copied Dieter Rams' objects? And why was the Marshmallow sofa deliberately attributed to another designer?

Whether you are a novice or an expert in the field, a student or simply a design enthusiast, through the 30 stories in the book, you will realize that you have acquired a comprehensive knowledge of the world of design, without even realizing it.
