Underworld Escape (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781968485504)

A vulnerable man with limited mental capacity and his reclusive elderly mother attract police attention after a routine identity check reveals nothing about who they really are. When the mother suddenly dies, a shocking post-mortem uncovers disturbing secrets hidden for decades.

As details leak to the press, public fascination turns into a media frenzy. Under mounting pressure, authorities launch an international investigation that traces the pair's origins to a foreign country-and to horrifying allegations of abuse within the Church during the 1970s.

What begins as a mystery surrounding two unknown strangers soon spirals into an international diplomatic crisis. But as investigators close in on the truth, they uncover evidence of a long-running cover-up orchestrated by powerful Church figures. And for some survivors, justice is no longer enough-revenge has already begun.
