Ruben Gimenez Viera is an Uruguayan photographer. He studied at the University of Labor and trained at the National School of Fine Arts of Uruguay. As a photojournalist, he has worked for many media and newspapers like: El Pais, Guambia magazine, Channel 4, among others. He also served as a photographer for the President of Uruguay. His work can be seen in various music discs, books, catalogs, among others. He has presented several exhibitions individually and in groups. The last of them was in the city of Pelotas, city in the south of Brasil, he has a been invited by Brazilian artists. He has also done several research projects, one of the last ones was "Identity and Memory" in the village Empalme Olmos in Uruguay for the Ministry of Education and Culture. On several occasions he performed tasks as a teacher in various workshops.
