Valkara Berserker: The Original Scotia Viking (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798830503662)

Wanda Two Spirit is broken. Her oldest friend is dead and she isn't taking it well. She knew that being immortal sucked, but she never believed that the one thing that made her different would finally be the thing to break her. She knew that loving anyone would be tragic for her, but through out the ages, she refused to let Heather go. But, Heather was gone, taken from her by another of their kind.

Now Wanda has to decide if her love for Elena Pappas, who is her newest love interest and fellow immortal, would be enough to keep her alive and not becoming a recluse.

As her past is finally revealed and her age finally explained, Wanda doesn't know what to believe in anymore. She no longer sees her immortality as a true blessing to protect her family but a curse upon her mind and soul. She starts to wonder if she can find a way to end this curse.

Elena is determined to make Wanda stick around this time, for more than a few months. She's loved her for years and she's never wanted to let her go. She has, because she understands what it means to be immortal, but even Elena is beginning to wonder how much of a blessing their gift really is as she watches Wanda suffering in her grief. She can only hope that her love will be enough to cure the BESERKER.
