Velcro Kisses: Prophecy, Trauma Bonds & Reclaiming Narrative (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781069817822)

In this candid and compelling memoir, Susan Stirling shares her raw and honest journey involving religious childhood indoctrination, trauma bonding to prophecy and end-times theology, self-discovery, healing, and reclaiming her personal narrative. From moments of struggle to hard-won clarity, Susan offers a story of resilience, courage, and the power of determining and telling one's own truth. With compassion, she reflects on her journey, provides the insight she so desperately needed at major junctions in her life, and invites readers to reflect on their own stories and to give themselves the grace that wasn't offered to them. Thoughtful, inspiring, and deeply human, this memoir is for anyone seeking understanding, healing, and the strength to accept and reclaim their story.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Susan Stirling has worn many hats over the years: daughter, sister, wife, and mother. She has been a business partner, coach, spiritual worker, and teammate, and sometimes all of them in the same week. She has walked alongside individuals finding their footing, couples navigating change, businesses chasing big dreams, and non-profits working to make a difference. Each connection has left its mark, shaping not just the work she did, but the person she has become. If there's one thing she's learned-it's that the journey changes you. Today, she works with individuals untangling their own complex histories-especially those navigating patterned self-abandonment, undue influence, or religious trauma. With a trauma-sensitive lens, as well as being a certified coach based on the neuroscience of human development, Susan help others discover the power of small steps, safe connections, and living from the inside out.
