Vengeance: Book One: Assgeirr, Spear of the Goddess (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781984904188)

Centuries before Benjamin and Catherine met and became best friends; before they fell in love and planned to marry, two Goddesses, Eir and Mengloth became enemies. Their war for the love of a man set forth repercussions that threatened to echo through time and never be resolved. When Mengloth's vengeance rained on Andvari, King of Folksvardr and those of his house, Eir and the other Gods of the people, protected the human inhabitants. As the centuries passed, the people continued to live, love and die unaware that their homeland in the icy lands of the North, was threatened by the battle that raged within the Breckenstein Mountains, Lyfjaberg and Eldrfell. However, on the other side of the world, far from the evil machinations and plans of Mengloth, Benjamin and Catherine hoped for love and happiness to continue as they prepared to realize their dreams. But as dark magic and evil designs came from many sources, Benjamin and Catherine suffered. Was it possible for broken hearts to be healed when they had been hurt so badly or would teenage dreams be lost along the way to the reality of adulthood and betrayal? Could the island Kingdom of Folksvardr be at peace and saved from the fire of Eldrfell that Mengloth wanted to rain down on them when she unleashed her hatred and revenge?
