Gerry Pratt wrote for the Toronto Telegram, while it still existed, and The Globe and Mail in Toronto, Ontario, as well as The Vancouver Sun in British Columbia. He was fired from The Seattle Times because he misspelled Syracuse. He finally ended up at The Oregonian, where he wrote the column 'Making The Dollar.'
