Video Mind, Earth Mind is a collection of texts (1968-1991) by Paul Ryan offering ideas about how video and television can be used to respond to our ecological crisis. The Author: Paul Ryan has presented his design for an environmental television channel at the Museum of Modern Art, the First International EcoCity Conference and the United Nations. His pioneering video art work has shown in Japan, Germany, Holland, France, Spain and throughout the USA. He has presented his original logic of triadic relationships before the American Semiotic Society. Mr. Ryan taught at the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, The New School for Social Research and New York University. His Earthscore Notational System is published by NASA. A contributor to numerous journals, he founded and edited the first bioregional magazine in the Eastern Woodlands of North America and is the author of Cybernetics of the Sacred.
