Virgil's Aeneid (Hardcover) (ISBN-13: 9781024006384)

"Virgil's Aeneid: Books I-XII" presents the complete epic poem in English. Written by Virgil in the 1st century BC, the "Aeneid" tells the legendary story of Aeneas, a Trojan who traveled to Italy and became the ancestor of the Romans. The poem's first six books recount the story of Aeneas's wanderings from Troy to Italy, and the poem's latter six books recount the Trojans' ultimately victorious war upon the Latin people, under whose rule Aeneas and his followers are destined to unite.
