Robert White is a retired associate professor of English and composition. Married, he has three children, and two grandchildren in Austin, TX. He has taught at Kent State University at Ashtabula [Ohio] Campus for the last 28 years. His doctoral dissertation was on point of view in the novels of William Styron. For the last dozen or so years, he has been writing and publishing noir, hardboiled, and mainstream fiction. Many of his stories feature the private eye Thomas Haftmann.
