Waking Hunger (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781511544559)

Carissa is a college senior who has lived a comfortable life. She has, for the most part, played by the rules; excelling scholastically and remaining under the radar as far as any kind of trouble would be concerned. A typical, California raised, suburban girl who has always been considered attractive and likable. With graduation approaching, things are about to change, just as they always do when reaching a milestone. However, life has a way of tripping up the most well laid plans sometimes and sling-shotting events into overdrive. That never happens to a girl like Carissa though. At least it's not supposed to. Trevor is the eye-catching neighbor next door at their apartment complex off campus. He's the guy who has been tying her stomach in knots since moving in several months ago. A happy hour at one of the local hot spots is where their tryst begins and from there, nothing is ever again quite the same again. It's a story of her belated awakening in so many respects. Experiences and abilities are born that exist for others maybe, but not this friendly yet reserved beauty. Trevor, with the help of a free-spirited roommate and several other new acquaintances; give rise to a fresh and daring new lifestyle. It's not merely a re-counting of sexual discoveries, but also an enjoyable and satirical look at what relationships become. Anyone who's ever attended college will remember the "times". If you've never had the opportunity, here's your chance to live and laugh through it from her own eyes and heart. Friendships grow and some fall away as they tend to do. These years are the second or even third coming of age for some and are, for good reason, the most memorable. Carissa forms bonds she never knew to be attainable and that come to reshape her life. The person she once was falls away; much like the seasons, transforming her into someone she didn't imagine possible for herself. Timing has its hand in everything many will say. Carissa has laid dormant for most of her young adult life; tucked away in a cocoon of safety. Turning a corner at just the right moment seems to blow everything wide open, and the brakes are nowhere to be found for this co-ed. It's a witty, steamy and fantasy come alive story of a woman who can't find normal anymore...and she wouldn't want to if she could.
