Waldo: A Narrative Poem (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781805882589)

In the frozen wilderness of the seventeenth-century Italian Alps, an escaped prisoner stumbles into the hidden refuge of a solitary shepherd. As winter storms rage outside, two men from vastly different worlds exchange the stories that shaped their lives.

One seeks redemption from a brutal criminal past. The other carries the scars of religious persecution and devastating loss.

Set during the infamous seventeenth century Waldensian massacres, Waldo is a sweeping historical narrative poem filled with danger, faith, suffering and hope. Rich in atmosphere and deeply human in spirit, it explores the endurance of conscience against violence, tyranny and despair.
