"You know, it's all a question of good neighborliness. When it comes to politics, why do we seem to forget that? It's cooperation, not conflict, that makes a community." Thanks to that seemingly simple observation, hapless Emerson Waldo is tapped to run for village council. Intelligent, discerning readers of all political flavors mortified by what politics has become will find the sardonic tale of Emerson Waldo's nightmarish voyage through today's electoral process wickedly irresistible. WALDO: A MORAL TALE WITHOUT A MORAL skewers the venomous incivilities of the Left, the Right and the rabidly sanctimonious Center. It gleefully sets up, then upsets, the collective brine in which we've pickled our political discourse. Husa's genially brutal humor is draped a viciously basic black, tarted up with pearls of uproarious insight. Satire waaaaay too close to home.

Over the course of the last half century Nurmi Husa has been a professional actor on the stage, over the airwaves and in film - as well as a designer, visual artist, writer, editor, director, photographer, political activist, file clerk, property manager, computer programmer and, perhaps most horrifying of all, the assistant manager of a dilapidated movie theatre in Hollywood. Oh, and a godfather. Best job of them all.
