Hobs, is a retired faculty from Defiance College who taught social work and psychology. His first book, Finding Comfort in Uncertainty, was published in 2016 by Authorhouse. He had a mental health practice for thirty years in both public and private settings. He has conducted numerous retreats and workshops in the area of spiritual growth. He enjoys writing and walking with his dog, Emerson in the woods along with his wife of fifty-four years, Marabeth.
