Wanjirũ and the Crown of Light (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798295630033)

By Loveli Heiress

Wanjirũ lives among her people, where laughter drifts between the homes and children play freely on the gĩthaka -the land that holds their stories. She is kind, thoughtful, and deeply loved. Yet in quiet moments, she wonders, Who am I becoming?

One evening, guided by a gentle whisper of wind, Wanjirũ walks into the mũtĩ-the forest. There, beneath the tall trees, something extraordinary happens. Surrounded by warmth and light, the gũkũ na gũkũ-her ancestors-appear with a message that will change her forever.

Her name, they tell her, means one who belongs to the people.

And this night is her moment of kũmenyithia-recognition.

A radiant crown of light forms above her head. But this is no crown of power or rule. It is a reminder. A reminder of who she is. Of her connection to her land, her people, and herself. Of the strength that lives quietly inside her heart.

As Wanjirũ returns home beneath the stars, she understands something new: true leadership begins with belonging, kindness, and courage. And wherever she walks, her light walks with her.
