I didn't set out to write a book. I set out to say something I couldn't ignore anymore. Most of what you are about to read was written in real time, on Facebook, in the middle of what was happening. I wasn't trying to be a writer. I was trying to stay honest.
I am a metaphysical teacher in a small town in Minnesota. My work has always lived in the living room, inside conversations, inside relationships, inside the places where people decide what they will and won't look at. This book comes from that same place. It starts in the living room. But it doesn't stay there.
What begins as something personal moves outward, into systems, into institutions, into structures that hold power. What you are about to read is that movement, as it happened. This is not a finished argument. It is not a clean narrative. This is a record.
Book One, Warning Label Rape Is My Reason, begins where the silence does. With the body. With a culture that has spent centuries protecting perpetrators and punishing the women who name them. With E. Jean Carroll walking into a courtroom and telling the truth out loud. With Jeffrey Epstein's survivors whose testimony powerful institutions spent years trying to bury. And with one grandmother in a crystal shop in Zimmerman, Minnesota who decided she was done pretending otherwise.
This is the first book in the Echo Chambers series, part of The Woke Nana Series. It is witness writing. It is activism in essay form. It is what happens when a woman who has spent her life working with people, reading energy, and telling the truth decides that silence is no longer an option.
I am not asking you to agree with me. I am asking you to look. And once you see it, you will have to decide what you are going to do with what you see.
