Waterfall Down (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781918424768)

What if the life you're climbing toward is the very thing you need to fall away from?

Waterfall Down is a fearless, hypnotic memoir about ambition, illusion, and the quiet power of losing everything. Born into post-war poverty in England, dyslexic and underestimated, the author learns early how to survive by reading people rather than systems. Ambition becomes her language-and her escape. It carries her from scarcity to wealth, from obscurity to rooms filled with power, decadence, and proximity to royalty, Hollywood, and a life most only glimpse from the outside.

From rapid success to Vegas vows, from high-stakes deals to glittering excess, the climb is relentless-and intoxicating. But when the scaffolding collapses, it does so without warning. Money vanishes. Identity fractures. Certainty dissolves. And a near-death experience in Los Angeles strips away the final illusion: that success can save you.

Guided not by religion but by depth psychology-particularly the ideas of Carl Jung-Waterfall Down explores ambition as a survival strategy, success as a mask, and collapse as initiation. It asks what happens when a woman builds a life powerful enough to escape her origins, but not the inner patterns that shaped them.

This is not a redemption story. It's an awakening.

Written with lyrical clarity and unflinching honesty, Waterfall Down is for readers who have done everything "right" and still feel hollow. For those who sense that the life they're chasing won't deliver what it promises. And for anyone brave enough to consider that the real transformation doesn't happen at the top-but in the fall.

Because sometimes, the only way forward...

is down.
