Wood/Hale Families by Helen Stoltz-Wood Ms. Stoltz-Wood is a lifelong student with a specific interest in rural English, American, Canadian family history. This interest carried over to a fascination with her husband's families - Alice Hale Wood and her ancestors S.R. Wood and his ancestors Eamer Family History in Canada. A determined pursuit by Ms. Stoltz-Wood for historical events revealed not only names and dates but, with special attention to the story that goes with those details. This is a Second Printing of the earlier book completed and offered for sate in 1986. A later family history, "From Denmark to Wisconsin" earned Ms. Stoltz-Wood the Wisconsin Historical Society and Wisconsin State Genealogical Society Family History Book of Merit Award for the year 2012. Ms. Stoltz-Wood is currently attending the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and once again immersed in history after a hiatus of ten years from earning an M.A. in History from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Married with four children, eight grandchildren and 2 and 1/2 great-grandchildren, that thankfully all live within a radius of twenty miles of home, is a very different situation to the life the Wood/Hale Ancestors experienced first in England, Canada, Eastern United States, Chicago, Tennessee, Minnesota and finally Polk County, Wisconsin. 2017
