Shawn L. Belisle is a lifelong student of history, sociology, and politics. He served over 25 years in the military, security, and law enforcement fields, first as an Air Force Security Policeman; corporate security at a Fortune 100 corporation; a civilian Security Policeman at an Air National Guard base; and at a correctional facility. He considers his oath of enlistment to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic" to be a sacred one that doesn't expire. Neither does his training. He lives happily with his wife Jill, a pride of obnoxious but lovable rescued cats and a dog in the quiet woods of rural Wisconsin. He prays every day for peace, and for the necessary strength and courage should that prove to be impossible. His working philosophy of life is to 'Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.'
