Ravinder Nath Bhalla, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist (adult and child) with forty years of clinical practice and thirty-four years as medical director of a nonprofit serving underprivileged populations across a wide age range. He led a team of psychiatrists and consulted to local school districts.

He is the author of more than a dozen books, including the seven-volume Abundance Series (Abundance; The Twin Minds: Choosing Abundance over Scarcity; Red Lines Rising: Governing AI While We Still Can; The Abundance Dispatch; Building Abundance; The Constitution: Floor Missing; The Abundance Life), Wisdom in Psychiatry: Understanding Begins Healing, Nietzsche: A Guided Tour - A Path Through His Works, Wealth, Mind and Meaning: The Money Book Nobody Gave You, The World Constitution: What We Owe to Our Children Present and Future, and American Healthcare: Unsustainable - Rebuild Before Collapse. His work addresses civilization's defining challenge: the contest between abundance and scarcity orientations at every scale, from the individual life to the constitutional floor to the civilizational architecture now being shaped by augmented intelligence. He is the creator of the Abundance Index, a live tool at ravibhallamd.com/abundance-index that calculates the cost of ending world hunger and extreme poverty as a fraction of global military spending.

He maintains a small private practice and writes from the United States.
