What's in the Box, Papa? (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798307659533)

What's in the Box, Papa? is a delightful children's book that follows the story of a curious and hungry crocodile named Kaye. One day, Papa brings home a mysterious box from the pet shop, announcing to his excited family that they have a new house pet. However, when the box shakes and makes a snapping sound, the children are filled with apprehension.

With a gentle invitation to meet their new pet, the box is opened to reveal Kaye the crocodile, who quickly becomes the centre of attention. Kaye, who is very hungry, makes her way through the house, munching on everything in sight-from biscuits and briskets to cat food and Nana's cakes. Despite her voracious appetite, Kaye struggles to find a comfortable spot to rest.

After a series of unsuccessful attempts to settle in various places around the house, Kaye finally discovers a beautiful pond in the garden. With crystal-clear water, lily pads, and surrounding trees, it becomes the perfect place for Kaye to relax and enjoy her new home.

The story concludes with the children cheering in delight as Kaye finds her cozy spot by the pond, illustrating the joy of welcoming a new pet and the happiness of finding the perfect place to call home. What's in the Box, Papa? is a heartwarming and humorous tale that captures the excitement of new beginnings and the magic of discovering the perfect place to belong.
