Known by many names, chronic Lyme disease has become a dreaded condition impacting the lives of tens of thousands of people each year, young and old, throughout the United States and other countries. For this reason living with chronic Lyme disease frequently means not only dealing with a physical condition, which can be debilitating at times, but it also means contending with a lack of medical support or understanding. Discouragement, abandonment, or hopelessness may be regular tempters each morning and evening, day after day, and year after year.
