C.J. Sun is a Taiwan-born American who immigrated to the US at a very young age. In his early 30's, he was promoted to the position of fire captain at a small municipal fire department. Breaking through the cultural norms of becoming a doctor or business person, Mr. Sun became the first Chinese American firefighter, and now, fire captain in a predominately Asian community.
