When What You Preach Catches Up with You (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798246562802)

What happens when the message you've preached for years stops being theory
and becomes your reality?

When What You Preach Catches Up With You is not a motivational book.
It is a testimony forged in pain, faith, and surrender.

Written from the place where sermons are tested and faith is stripped of performance, this book takes the reader behind the pulpit-into the private moments where belief is no longer public declaration, but a personal decision made in fear, silence, and uncertainty.

When cancer entered the author's family, theology became lived experience.
Promises were no longer quoted-they were clung to.
Faith was no longer preached-it was endured.

This book confronts one of the most uncomfortable truths in Christian life:
that suffering is not always punishment, failure, or hidden sin.
Sometimes, it is process.
Sometimes, it is purpose.
Sometimes, it is the very place where God forms what preaching alone never could.

With pastoral honesty and spiritual depth, Javier E. Sánchez speaks to:

• Ministers whose faith has been tested by real loss

• Believers struggling with illness, fear, and unanswered prayers

• Leaders misunderstood, judged, or accused when hardship arrives

• Christians learning to trust God without guarantees

This is a book about believing when healing is uncertain,
loving when the future is fragile,
and remaining faithful when the outcome is not promised.

It does not offer easy answers.
It offers presence.
It does not glorify pain.
It reveals God within it.

Because when what you preach finally reaches you,
faith is no longer about what you say-
it becomes how you live.

And that kind of faith, tested and surrendered,
is the one that remains.
