Tom McBride played left tackle for the Mart, Texas, Panthers from 1961-63, generally assisting from the bench. He taught at Beloit College for over four decades and is author of, among other books, The Mindset Lists of American History (with Ron Nief); Godawful Dreams (featured on public radio's Chapter A Day); and The Great American Lay (a history of American sexual practice from Puritans to the present). His son was an outstanding lineman in the Pop Warner league.
