Collette D. Ward Robinson hails from Manchester, Jamaica, and was educated at Beaumont's Preparatory, DeCarteret College, Knox Community College and the University of the West Indies. Her professional career has spanned over thirty years and has largely involved social policy analysis in the public sector. Her hobbies include creative writing and singing, and she has written numerous songs and poems and dabbled a bit in the writing of plays and skits. Her first published work was Take Three Giant Steps! A Vision 2030 Jamaica Reader, published by LMH Publishing Ltd. in 2014. The book is listed as a Supplementary Text for Literature by the Ministry of Education in Jamaica. Her other published works include an anthology of poems, Somebody Tell My Story, and Through My Eyes, a human interest novella that gained a Merit Award in the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission Creative Writing Competition in 2014. Mrs. Robinson is married, with two adult children.
